It's hot in the summer

A Grade 8 English topic: «It's hot in the summer» (pp. 10–13). The seasons: spring, summer, autumn, winter. Verbs and weather: chase (to run after someone), fall over (to drop to the ground), pull (to move something towards you), icy (covered with ice), rainy (with a lot of rain), the sky (what is above us). Useful language: cool (a little cold), dry (not wet), warm (pleasantly hot), each (every one), a month, quite. Weather words: cold, hot, sunny, windy. The twelve months: January … December, the last month of the year. Ordinal numbers 21–31: 21st, 22nd, 23rd, 24th … 30th, 31st. The date: Today is Wednesday, the 25th of May.
