Numbers from 1 to 9

A Grade 1 mathematics topic: numbers from 1 to 9 (I. B. Bekboev et al., pp. 4–5). Learners practise counting forwards (1 → 9) and backwards (9 → 1), writing the numbers neatly, finding them on the number line and comparing them with the signs >, < and =. They learn that the further right a number sits on the line, the bigger it is. They also compare shapes and measure line segments with a ruler.
