Brain Gym

Short exercises that make hands, body and eyes work together. The class copies the 3D hands and the kid on screen in rhythm — the tempo slowly speeds up. In 3 minutes a tired class is ready for the lesson again.

What is brain gym?

Short rhythmic exercises for the hands, body and eyes. The two hands do different things, the moves speed up and switch, so children have to focus and think about every move. A break like this in the middle of a lesson brings a class that has sat too long back to life.

How to use it in class

1Pick. Pick an exercise or press «Warm-up» — three exercises run one after another.
2Project it. Go full screen and choose the tempo: slow, medium or fast.
3Copy. The class copies the screen while the voice keeps the beat. Each stage gets a little faster.

Frequently asked questions

How long does it take?

One exercise takes 1–3 minutes. «Warm-up» is a ready 3-minute set: hands, body and eyes.

Do I need an account or a camera?

No. Everything runs in the browser and nothing is recorded. Schulte and Stroop bests are kept on this computer only.

What ages is it for?

Hand and body exercises from age 5; tasks that need reading (Stroop, letters) from 6–7. Older classes pick the fast tempo.

Which hand on screen is mine?

The hands are shown as you see your own: the blue sleeve on the left is your left hand, the orange one on the right is your right. In body exercises the kid stands like a mirror.
