Material haqida
Grade 6 Technology topic: '§1. Livestock farming' (pp. 5–15, Ch. T. Mambetaliev, J. N. Sulaimanova, D. A. Akmatov, A. S. Kelgenbaev).
The nomads have kept livestock since ancient times, combining it with farming. Of the four kinds of stock, the horse received special attention: a newborn foal is called kulun, at one year tai, at two kunan, at three byshty and at four bir asyi. The live weight of a sheep reaches 55–65 kg. From the goat people take down and milk. Cattle are divided into three groups: dairy, beef and mixed, that is beef-and-dairy. On average a cow gives 20 litres of milk a day; the world record was set by the cow Ubre Blanca in Cuba — 41,673 litres in a year. Yaks find it most comfortable to live at 3,000 metres above sea level. The wool of the camel is called chuuda. The largest of the poultry is the turkey. Rabbits give up to 10–11 kg of meat.
