The fall of Ordo-Balyk deepened the break-up of the political unity of the Uyghur tribes. Pan-tegin led fifteen clans to Eastern Turkestan, to the Karluks. In 842 Tapu Alp Sol came to the Tang capital as envoy of the Kyrgyz khagan. The conquests of the Great Kyrgyz Khaganate mainly took place in the middle of the 9th century (the 840s–850s).
