This presentation is the first unit of Kyrgyz Language for Grade 1: greetings, farewells and introductions (K. Esenalieva et al., pp. 5–11).
Learners meet the difference between «Салам!» and «Саламатсызбы!», the reply «Саламатчылык.», and the farewells «Жакшы кал!» and «Жакшы бар!». They then practise introducing themselves — «Менин атым …», «Сенин атың ким?», «Сиздин атыңыз ким?» — and learn to tell apart the two questions «Ким?» and «Эмне?».
