Grade 7 topic of the subject «Man and Society»: § 2 «Values in human life» (M. L. Azimova et al., pp. 14–21).
Values are objects, phenomena and ideals that matter to a person and largely determine their behaviour and activity. Price and value are not synonyms. A person's value system is finally formed at about 18–20 years of age.
Universal values include life, health, family, homeland, freedom and justice. Material values are also called economic values. The 2021 Concept stresses the priority of spiritual and moral values over material ones.
