Baige

the quiz horse race

The whole class races on one screen: every team has its own horse and its own questions. A correct answer moves the horse one step forward; a wrong one makes it stumble. The first team to reach the finish wins the baige — the prize.

How to play

  1. Pick a topic

Your own questions or a ready-made catalogue topic — every question type works.

  2. Make the teams

2–5 teams, each with a name and a horse. You can split pupils from your class list.

  3. Answer

Each team has its own card. Three correct in a row — Tulpar: +1 bonus step.

  4. Reach the finish

The first team home takes the baige. If time runs out, the team that got furthest wins.

What makes it fun

  • Tulpar

Every 3rd correct answer in a row adds a bonus step. The streak dots sit right on the card.

  • The horse stumbles

A wrong answer costs no steps, but the card locks for 3 seconds and shows the right answer.

  • Any question type

One or several correct answers, true / false, a typed answer — it all works on the card.

2–5 teams, each with its own horse

Every team has its own colour and its own horse; the teacher picks the horse's coat. Teams answer at the same time — the quicker and more accurate they are, the further ahead their horse.

  • BayBlue team
  • BlackRed team
  • GreyGreen team

Frequently asked questions

What is Baige?

Baige is the prize the winner takes home from a Kyrgyz horse race — and people call the race itself a baige too. In this game the questions drive the horses: every correct answer brings a team's horse one step closer to the finish.

How do we play in class?

Open the game on a projector or interactive whiteboard. Make 2 to 5 teams, give each one a horse and choose its coat, then set the distance (8, 12 or 16 steps) and the time (3, 5, 7 or 10 minutes). Every team has its own card on the screen, and all teams answer at the same time.

What happens after a wrong answer?

The horse stumbles: no steps are lost, but the streak of correct answers resets and the card locks for 3 seconds while it shows the right answer. The lock can be switched off in the settings. A hard question can be skipped: a 2-second wait, and the streak is kept.

Who wins?

The first team over the finish line takes first place, the next ones second, third and so on. If time runs out, teams are ranked by the distance they covered, and on a tie by the number of correct answers. At the end you get a podium and a table of every team.

Is it free?

The demo race is free and opens without signing up. Your own questions need an account, and the teachers' catalogue needs a PRO subscription.

Where do the questions come from?

Create a topic in the question bank and add at least 8 questions (of any type: one or several correct answers, true / false, or a typed answer). The BilimAi bot can also write questions on a topic for you.

Are the results saved?

Yes: the result of a race on your own topic lands in your Game history — how many steps each team covered and how many correct answers it gave.
